Girls into STEM Challenge

We are delighted to host the 3rd Soroptimist International STEM Challenge for secondary school girls co-organised by the Soroptimists of Woking, Weybridge & Surrey Hills and Royal Holloway Physics. Fifteen teams from Hoe Valley School Woking, Tomlinscote School, Guildford County School, Ashcombe School and Thamesmead School are participating in the finals and some fantastic ideas have been formulated to meet the challenge, ranging from eco-bricks, fridges and cookers to anti-rape watches/wear and baby carriers.

The Finals and Award-giving will take place on 4 July 2019 in the Moore Building, at Royal Holloway, University of London, in the presence of Dr Helen Bowcock OBE, Chair of Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust.  Our ten judges are gearing up to make some difficult choices about the winning teams!
