The Careers Centre is available to all students. You can get advice on how to boost your CV and enhance your experience while you’re studying. You can also book an appointment with a member of the Careers team to support you with interview skills.
There are a number of Careers events that run throughout the year. From large careers fairs to employer drop-ins, alumni panels and skills workshops.
Careers Service is made up of four teams, here to assist you on your career journey.
- Careers Consultants
- We offer support to help you narrow down your options, work out the best way forward and apply for jobs or further study. We also work closely with academic departments to provide tailored advice and events linked to your discipline or area.
- Employer Engagement and Events
- We bring employers onto campus to help you find jobs, refine your career choices and improve your chances of application success, through our varied programme of fairs, alumni panels, employer presentations, skills sessions and one-to-ones.
- Placements
- We run the Professional Skills & Insights Programme for First and Second Year undergraduate students of Black Heritage, Care-leavers, low-income backgrounds, and students registered with the College Disability & Dyslexia Service, working closely with the academic schools.
- Volunteering
- We support students to pursue excellent opportunities in the local community. Many of these students have graduated and become leaders in the third sector, as well as other industries.
