Whatever undergraduate degree you choose at Royal Holloway, there is an annual fee. This fee varies depending on whether you’re a UK resident or live outside of the UK.
For students from the UK
The tuition fee for students starting their degree in 2024/25 will be £9,250 for that year. The tuition fee for students starting their degree in 2025/26 has not yet been confirmed. Undergraduate tuition fees for students from the UK are set by the Government.
There is a different fee for a year spent abroad or working in industry.
For EU and international students
For EU students starting their course with us in 2024/25 and 2025/26, the international fee applies. See fee details by searching for your course on course finder.
Royal Holloway reserves the right to increase tuition fees annually for overseas fee-paying undergraduate students, based on the UK’s Retail Price Index (RPI). Please therefore be aware that tuition fees can rise during your degree. For further information see fees and funding and our terms and conditions.
For deferred entry
Your tuition fee will be for the year of entry, not for the year in which the application was made.
How to fund your tuition fee payment
You can fund your tuition fee in a number of ways, including student loans and paying them yourself.

Which fee do I pay?
The UK Government sets guidelines on who is eligible for Home (UK) fee status.
Read guidance on who qualifies
Please note that holding a UK passport does not automatically qualify you to be eligible for Home fees. You also need to meet residency requirements.
When you apply to Royal Holloway a provisional decision is made on your fee status.
You can check this on Royal Holloway Direct, once an offer is made.
