What made you choose Psychology at Royal Holloway?
I’ve always wanted to work in a world-leading and internationally recognised university as well as an institution that prioritises excellent teaching – and Royal Holloway is just that. I’ve seen the fantastic research and courses that the college offers and I feel that my area of specialism fits in very well. The campus is absolutely stunning and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Can you tell us a little about the teaching you will carry out at RHUL?
My area of specialism is resilience, more specifically developing resilience interventions that enhance wellbeing. My teaching will focus on areas related to health psychology, applied psychology as well as more general topics in psychology such as Personality and Individual Differences. I also supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
What is your favourite aspect of teaching?
I love interacting and engaging with students. The thing I enjoy most is encouraging my students to think critically about psychology and the world. I also love supervising final year projects and seeing students develop their interests and passions.
What do you do outside of work?
My favourite things are spending time with family and friends, discovering new places, travelling and staying active.
