UNIQ+ Research Internships are designed to provide students from under-represented and disadvantaged backgrounds who are ordinarily resident in the UK with the opportunity to experience postgraduate study. UNIQ+ aims to provide students with a real day-to-day experience of postgraduate research. During the seven-week programme, which runs from Monday 3 July to Friday 18 August 2023, they undertake a research project, attend training skills and information sessions and take part in a social programme.

Hana Nabizada, third-year undergraduate student in the Department of Politics and International Relations, has been offered a place in the programme, and will be supervised by Dr Marnie Howlett (Department of Politics and International Relations). She will be researching how young Ukrainians perceive and understand Europe.
