Daniela's book "Socioeconomic Justice: International Intervention and Transition in Post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina" was awarded a Honourable mention in the L.H.M. Ling Outstanding First Book Prize at the 2021 BISA conference.
The BISA annual awards recognise excellence and achievement through research and teaching in the field of International Studies, and are announced at their conference each year. You can read about the 2021 prize winners here.
In her book, published by Cambridge University Press, Daniela provides the first systematic analysis of experiences of socioeconomic violence during war and how they give rise to strong, but unheeded justice claims in the aftermath. Drawing on a unique set of in-depth interviews with Bosnian communities, international officials and grassroots activists, the book provides new theoretical and empirical insights on the link between justice and political economy, on international interventions, and on Bosnia's post-war and post-socialist transformation. You can found our more about it here.
