SuperFab opened in 2018, it is a user facility serving academia and industry; supporting fundamental research into superconducting quantum devices and technology. UKRI investment has established SuperFab as a key part of the supply chain in the global race for a quantum computer based on superconducting qubits, recognised by the National Quantum Computing Centre as a leading technology and investment priority.
