Centre for Musical Performance as Creative Practice (CMPCP)

The AHRC-funded Centre for Musical Performance as Creative Practice (CMPCP) was based at the University of Cambridge in partnership with King’s College London, the University of Oxford and Royal Holloway, University of London.

Its five-year research programme focused on live musical performance and creative music-making. At Royal Holloway, Tina K. Ramnarine led the workstream Global perspectives on the ‘orchestra’, leading to her edited book Global Perspectives on Orchestras: Collective Creativity and Social Agency (Oxford University Press, 2017).
