Video Game Music Scholarship Nominated for Industry Award

Journal co-edited by Dr Tim Summers (Lecturer in Music) nominated for a game industry award

The Journal of Sound and Music in Games, co-edited by Dr Tim Summers (Lecturer in Music), was nominated for a game industry award at the Game Audio Network Guild (GANG) awards. It was nominated for Best Game Audio Article or Publication.

A research group affiliated with the journal, and co-founded by Dr Summers has also been selected for preservation in the United States Library of Congress Performing Arts Web Archive. The Ludomusicology group website (www.ludomusicology.org) was deemed a historically significant cultural artefact and an important part of the record of Professional Organizations for the Performing Arts.

Most recently, Dr Summers has been busy co-editing The Cambridge Companion to Video Game Music with Dr Melanie Fritsch. The book has recently been published and is now available for libraries and individuals to order here.
