We are delighted that our graduating students have reported high satisfaction with their Music degree from Royal Holloway.
In the National Student Survey results published last week, 98% of the final year Music students who completed the survey said that staff are good at explaining things, 98% said that staff make the subject interesting, 96% said that they have the right opportunities to provide feedback on their course, 94% said that the course is intellectually stimulating, and 91% of respondents said that they have been able to contact staff when they needed to. Our Music degrees received an overall satisfaction score of 90% from final year students who completed the survey.
We are delighted at this excellent overall rating in the NSS. High student satisfaction reflects both the quality of teaching that our students receive, and also the wider academic and pastoral support that is provided in the Department.
We are also proud that in 2019 Royal Holloway’s Students' Union named the Music Department their Department of the Year, an award which recognises 'the academic department that has worked to integrate the academic representation system in their department, effecting change and enhancing the student experience'.
