Keyboardist Emily Francis is an in-demand session musician, playing for several independent and signed artists as well as being an artist in her own right with contemporary prog-jazz group the Emily Francis Trio. Making her mark very much as a keyboard player and “sound-smith”, her work has been featured in the UK’s largest jazz magazine “Jazzwise” and played on the likes of Jazz FM and BBC Radio. Her critically acclaimed album “LUMA” was also awarded “Jazz Album of the Week” by Snarky Puppy manager Mike Chadwick for soulandjazz.com.
Her session credits include Toyah Willcox, Rumer, Soom T, Jo Harman, Ward Thomas, Julia Jacklin, Wolf Moon and she also featured in the house band for Comedy Central’s “Comedy Game Night” hosted by Liza Tarbuck, backing celebrities such as, Jay McGuinness, Big Zuu, Alexandra Burke, Denise Van Outen and many more. The latter led to Emily being approached by notable keyboard brand Nord to feature in their World Session Series in 2020.
