Congratulations to Josh Coyston who won a prize for his poster presentation.
J. Coyson's prized poster
Josh Coyston, a third-year PhD student in our Department, recently attended the Young Researchers in Mathematics conference (the 10th anniversary of this event). He was one of almost 30 entrants in a poster competition, in which he advertised his paper "Small Mahler Measures from Digraphs" jointly written with his supervisor Prof. James McKee. The paper was recently-accepted by the journal "Experimental Mathematics". He was awarded a (3rd place) prize, following a vote by the approximately 150 participants at the conference. Maplesoft was one of the sponsors of the conference, and the prize was the award of a licence for Maple. Well done, Josh!
