The School of Law's 'Risk Harm and Punishment' cluster will be holding a research symposium on 20 March 2019.

This symposium will be held at Royal Holloway's Egham Campus and will discuss several important issues collected under the theme of 'Understanding and Tackling the Risk of Terrorism'. If you are interested in attending please contact Professor David Denney: david.denney@rhul.ac.uk.

2.30 -3.00: "The challenges of Identifying and Tackling Online Extremism in Bangladesh."

3.30-3.35: Break

3:35-3:55: "The Role of Social Ecology and Trust in Engagement with Irish Republican Paramilitary Groups" Dr John Morrison (Royal Holloway)

3:55-4:15: "Radicalisation, Extremism and the Shifting Parameters of UK Counter-Terrorism" - Dr Anthony Richards (Royal Holloway).

4.15 - 4.45: Panel discussion with all speakers. Chair: Professor Nick Hardwick (Royal Holloway).
