Dr Maja Grundler and Professor Elspeth Guild (QMUL) recently published a policy brief titled ‘Between Inclusion and Exclusion: Protection under EU law for Russians refusing to perform military service’.

The policy brief outlines the legal issues to be considered under EU law regarding asylum claims from individuals refusing to perform military service in the context of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
