Dr Giovanni Travaglino will deliver a two-day seminar to the doctoral students of the Department of Economic and Statistical Sciences at the University of Palermo

Dr Giovanni Travaglino (Senior Lecturer in Criminology and Psychology) has been invited to deliver a two-day seminar to the doctoral students of the Department of Economic and Statistical Sciences at the University of Palermo.

The seminar is titled “The Shadow Economy and Organized Crime: A Multidisciplinary Approach”. In the seminar, Dr Travaglino will discuss findings from his research on how socio-psychological factors may shape communities’ perception of, and responses to criminal organizations. Moreover, together with Dr Marco Ciziceno (University of Palermo), the seminar will discuss the interplay between corruption and trust in shaping communities’ well-being.

The seminar will be held in Palermo on 9-10 June 2022.
