A research paper co-authored by the ISG's Kenny Paterson has won a Distinguished Paper Award at the ACM Internet Measurement Conference.

Kenny's paper, entitled "Coming of Age: A Longitudinal Study of TLS Deployment" was a result of collaboration with researchers from IMDEA Software Institute, Stony Brook University, and the International Computer Science Institute at the University of Berkeley.
The paper studies the evolution of the TLS protocol over the last 6 years, placing a special focus on the TLS ecosystem’s evolution in response to high-profile attacks. The research involved the analysis of a massive dataset of 319.3 billion TLS connections.
