Are you looking to make a difference in the world?

Study in the Department of Health Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London and you will explore how environmental, biological, social, political and economic factors impact human and environmental health, affecting us all.

You will be taught by staff who are acknowledged experts in their fields with strong links to international research networks, human and plant health collaborations across the world. They are as passionate about teaching as they are about making a difference to the world at large through innovative research, consultancy and collaborative projects.

    BSc Health Studies at Royal Holloway has a focus on promoting healthier populations and environments, an exciting area leading to a huge variety of career pathways for graduates who are prepared to make a difference in the world. We offer stimulating teaching to inspire and challenge you and the flexibility to explore your own interests. We are partners with the Royal Society for Public Health and our BSc Health Studies students get free membership in their first year. Postgraduate degrees

New for 2024: MSc Occupational Therapy (pre-registration)

This two-year masters will give you the knowledge and practical skills that you need to develop a rewarding career as an occupational therapist in emerging global health roles and social prescribing roles in the UK and in internationals settings. The pre-registration MSc Occupational Therapy course is delivered by the Department of Health Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London in collaboration with local partners. The course has been validated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) a regulatory body for Allied Health Professions (AHP) and accredited by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), a professional body for Occupational Therapists in the UK. These exciting masters courses connect knowledge to global health-related challenges and solutions. The solutions are based around creative and flexible thinking and interdisciplinary education includes experiential learning and placement-based trial and error experiences, alone and in teams, including interdisciplinary settings. You will benefit from individual attention, stimulating teaching to inspire and challenge you, and the flexibility to explore your own interests.
