Ed Armston-Sheret, a first-year PhD student, has been awarded the British Society for the History of Science's Engagement Fellowship at the Polar Museum, part of the University of Cambridge's Scott Polar Research Institute.

Ed will be working to introduce historically informed climate stories into the museum through updating one of the museum's permanent displays. This project builds on Ed's research interest in the history of polar science and polar exploration and supports the museum's aim of ensuring that the history of climate science is included in the museum's displays on climate change.

"I'm really excited to work on this project at the Polar Museum. I've always been fascinated by polar science and am really interested in using this history to communicate the importance of climate change to new audiences," Ed says.

Ed's PhD research is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (via TECHNE) and he is supervised by Dr Innes M. Keighren and Professor Klaus Dodds.
