Congratulations from all in the Department to Professor Katherine Brickell, Dr Laurie Parsons, and team who have been shortlisted for the 2020 Times Higher Education ‘Research Project of the Year: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ for their work on Blood Bricks.
The “Research Project of the Year” is awarded to the individual or team at a UK HE institution for innovative arts, humanities or social sciences research that has a far-reaching impact and has caught, or has the potential to catch, the imagination of the public.
This reflects the hard work of an international team working since 2017 to better understand and address debt bondage in Cambodia’s brick kilns.
You can read more about the Blood Bricks project here and see a short description of the award entry here.
