The special issues of the Chicago Review are particularly notable literary events, and the latest issue features a section on Contemporary British and Irish Writing, with Royal Holloway alumni and lecturers featured in poetry, prose fiction, and essay writing.

The Contemporary British and Irish Writing section showcases the creative writing talents of Royal Holloway rather impressively: the poetry section includes alumna Dr Nisha Ramayya, the prose fiction section includes alumna and lecturer Dr Eley Williams, and the essays section has a short piece by Prof Robert Hampson on Bill Griffiths at Seventy.
