Patent success for Microwave Photonics and Sensors research group

Congratulations to the Microwave Photonics and Sensors group on the announcement today that a new patent idea has been successfully granted.

Patent certificate

The granted patent is about the distortion removal that makes optical communication links distortion free by enabling very large bandwidth, which will allow very high data rates for 5G, 6G and beyond future communication generations.

Dr Shyqyri Haxha has established and is the director of the Microwave Photonics and Sensors laboratory at Royal Holloway. and commented,

"This is an exciting achievement for the group in the Electronic Engineering department at Royal Holloway and UK scientific and industry community in general. My thanks go to my great research team, Professor Ian Flint and Mohammed Alom."
