On Thursday 11th Nov 2021, our Power Systems Group was delighted to be part of the COP26 Forum taking place in support of UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26). Dr Stefanie Kuenzel, Dr Onyema Nduka and Mr Mazen Nagib welcomed visitors to the Shilling building roof, to see the Photovoltaic panels, wind turbine and transmission system equipment donated by National Grid. Prior to the roof top visit, the visitors had a great discussion with the group about the wide ranging research activities, which all ultimately link with the increasing roll-out of renewables and related changes required in Power Systems around the world. We very much thank all our visitors for a fantastic day!

“I thoroughly enjoyed demonstrating my research project regarding ‘Subsurface Hydrogen Storage', which I have been developing with Prof Waltham and Dr. Stefanie Kuenzel. ”

- Mazen Nagib, Master by Research student of the Power System Group, Electronic Engineering, Royal Holloway University of London

We very much thank all our visitors for a fantastic day!
