Professor David Howard invited to give a TEDx talk about how to recreate the voice of a mummy.

David Howard was invited to give a TEDx talk in the Volkstheatre in Vienna which he accepted and the agreed topic was ‘Resurrecting a Mummy’s voice - Human vocal resilience’.

The ‘Mummy’s voice’ refers to this highly downloaded paper (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-019-56316-y)  from January 2020 on which David was first author. The project was shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Award in 2021 for 'project of the year, STEM'.

The TEDx talk was recorded to a live audience of around 800 in October 2021 and the on-line version has just been released (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtSyfnAxDbk). Please do watch it and spread the word about it.
