Workshop: The Political Economy of Conflict

The Centre for the Economics of the Household (EcHo) at Royal Holloway, together with the Economics department at Queen Mary, University of London hosted the workshop on the “Political Economy of Conflict” on the 14th and 15th of September 2022.

The presentations led to lively discussions from the audience composed of researchers from all over Europe. With sessions for Young Economists as well as guest lectures by Prof Mathieu Couttenier (ENS, Lyon) and Prof Noam Yuchtman (LSE) the workshop covered a vast array of topics from the economic consequences of conflict, peacekeeping and identity in Sub-Saharan Africa, India and Colombia, but also trade wars.
