Accreditation

All our single-honours degrees are accredited by the British Computer Society, a chartered institute for the global IT profession:

BSc degrees – CITP, Partial CEng, Euro-Inf

MSci degrees – CITP, CITP FL, Full CEng, Euro-Inf

Accreditation means that, on graduation, a student has fully or partially fulfilled the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP) and / or a Chartered Engineer (CEng). 

Best practice

The 2014 Accreditation Visit Panel also identified the following area of best practice:

"The Software Engineering modules in the undergraduate programmes are well aligned both theoretically and practically."

BCS accreditation for Higher Education programmes provides a number of benefits for students.

All our single-honours degrees have the Euro-Inf quality label, which is owned by the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE).

The Euro-Inf framework and accreditation system provides a set of standards that identifies high quality informatics and computer science degree programmes in Europe and abroad.

Our BSc and Integrated Masters (MSci) in Computer Science (Information / Cyber Security) has been awarded certification by GCHQ
