Shaurya Puri was a member of the team that received the Best Design and User Experience Award.
Many congratulations to Shaurya Puri, who is studying Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) at Royal Holloway, currently doing an industrial placement at UBS on a range of projects under Client Research Management (CRM).
Shaurya was the developer/UX designer of the winning team, which also included three developers and three business analysts. In 24 hours, the team developed a solution to help UBS clients get more involved with their portfolios, improve their user experience, and develop a better understanding and control over the division of their assets.
They built a completely new immersive experience for clients to visualise their portfolio using VR (Virtual Reality) using an aframe.io framework built around ReactJS. They used scrum-based agile development to help them get through the most intensive work environment they had ever come across. Below is a WebView walkthrough video of what they were able to produce.
Shaurya joined us in 2016 from Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj, where he was President of the school's Computer Society; he was awarded a Royal Holloway International Excellence Scholarship, which are reserved for the very best applicants from overseas. In addition to his studies, Shaurya has also been working for Code Groovers, our development arm.
Shaurya was also one of the members of the team that won the Cisco University Challenge 2017. We are confident that other awards will come!
