Emil wins Cybersecurity Award

Emil receives the award from Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Cyber Security

The Cybersecurity Awards aimed to recognise individuals and enterprises which have made significant contributions to Singapore’s cybersecurity ecosystem. The Awards are organised by the Association of Information Security Professionals (AISP).

Emil received the Professional Award for his significant contributions to Singapore’s cybersecurity ecosystem, including his roles in bringing the local community together, raising awareness and profiling Singapore in the global cybersecurity field.

Emil was awarded a BSc in Computer Science in 2014 and an MSc in Information Security in 2015, both from Royal Holloway. He was the founder of our student-led Computing Society and received the 2014 Head of Department’s prize for an outstanding contribution to the student experience.

He is currently Adjunct Lecturer at the Singapore Polytechnic's Professional & Adult Continuing Education (PACE) Academy, and is co-founder and co-lead of Division Zero (Div0) –  an open, inclusive, and completely volunteer-driven community whose mission is to promote a vibrant cybersecurity community in Singapore.
