The Computing Society at Royal Holloway is proud to be partnering with Code First: Girls to offer a free coding course specifically aimed at getting women and non-binary students from all disciplines involved in programming.

If you have always wanted to learn how to code but have not had the chance or the confidence, now is your opportunity. This is an extremely valuable experience as coding is becoming an essential skill for working in virtually all sectors. You will also receive a certificate that recognises your new learnt coding skills.

The course will run for eight weeks between January 14th and March 7th 2019 (exact dates and times to be announced soon) and will cover the essentials of HTML/CSS and Python. 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn how to create an app or website
  • Develop your problem solving and creativity skills
  • Ask questions about developing programs
  • Add to your CV valuable skills needed in the modern world
