Winston Churchill School Students Find their Voice Through Myth!

Just before Easter, students from Winston Churchill Secondary School at Woking had two days of fun with the Voice and Myth Initiative run by Dr Spentzou. Working with the story of Eurydice and Orpheus the students ‘made the myth their own’ by creating storylines about her upbringing, his career, their relationship, her escape in the ‘underworld’ and a lot more, in two workshops, the second of which was designed and led by the older students themselves – a very empowering experience for all! Here is what Dan Fisher, their teacher, wrote in the school blog: http://wcscheadteachersblog.blogspot.com/2022/04/from-student-to-teacher.html. We look forward to more schools getting involved in the Initiative! For any questions please email Efi Spentzou (efi.spentzou@rhul.ac.uk) who will be delighted to hear from you.
