"An Abolitionist Abroad" - Sarah Parker Remond

Sarah Parker Remond was an abolitionist, women’s rights campaigner and pubic speaker.

Born is Salem, Massachusetts in 1826, she travelled to the UK and enrolled as a student at Bedford College, and later travelled to Italy and trained as a doctor. In this talk Royal Holloway Librarian, Greg Leurs, draws on research and material held within the Royal Holloway and Bedford College archives to tell the story of her remarkable life.
