In the first of three short films exploring the College's portraits of its early female principals, Art Historian Dr Imogen Tedbury looks at why the collections hold three portraits of Dame Margaret Tuke.

Tuke was the longest serving principal of Bedford College, the first college to offer women a university level education in Britain, which merged with Royal Holloway College in 1985.
