Help us support the most promising students.
The brightest minds deserve the opportunity to be part of our community, be taught by world-class academics and leave with limited debt.
Year on year we receive more applications for undergraduate and postgraduate study. At the same time, more talented students face financial difficulty.
“I would not be able to finance my three-year PhD in Musicology without the Christopher Mayled Scholarship. I hope other scholars will be able to use my research and be inspired by my approaches. I would also like to start teaching. Through teaching I can contribute to future research in a much broader sense. There is so much to be discovered!”
Frieda, PhD Musicology
Why scholarships make a difference
A scholarship provides immediate financial aid and relieves the burden of graduating with upwards of £40,000 debt. A scholarship can make study at Royal Holloway possible for young people from lower-income families, for international students, and for doctoral students whose background or research interests make them ineligible for other funding.
Thanks to our donors, we have been able to offer some form of financial aid to nearly 25% of our students. Clearly we still have a long way to go to support every student in need.
You can support students and follow their academic journey.
And with a gift of over £10,000 you can create a scholarship in your own name or the name of a loved one.
You can choose to support any of the following:
- Academic scholarships
- Talent led scholarships in sports, the choir or the orchestra
- Bedford Society scholarships
