Ying Kay has been appointed as Executive Director of Finance at Royal Holloway, University of London and will start in position on Monday 13 January 2025.
Ying Kay joins Royal Holloway from the Richmond American University London, where she has been Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Finance and Operations since 2022, having previously worked at the University of East London.
Ying qualified as an accountant from Singapore and achieved FCCA status and an MBA in Higher Education (HE) while working in the HE sector. She has over 30 years of experience in the profit and non-profit sectors.
Playing a pivotal role in the set-up of the London Design & Engineering University Technical College (UTC), Ying was co-opted as Director of UTC in 2016, and she is currently a trustee at Stanmore College.
As Executive Director of Finance, Ying will be responsible for the financial strategy of the University, as well as leading the Finance and Strategic Planning directorates. She will lead work in key areas of our expenditure, development, and financial stability, as well as contributing to ongoing work on the RH2030s strategy.
