Planning permission is progressing with Runnymede Borough Council for the re-opening of the University’s Piggery Gate entrance to vehicles on its Egham campus.
This will provide access for students, staff and visitors travelling on the A30, Egham Hill. The new proposed entrance and exit at Piggery Gate will only allow vehicles to turn left into and out of campus to ensure drivers do not cross the carriageway of the A30.
Reopening Piggery Gate will ease traffic entering campus via the current single main entrance and exit points at the top of the campus near Founder’s Building. Works are intended to commence at the start of summer for up to 10 weeks.
