Ahead of the start of a new academic year, both new and returning students at Royal Holloway are reminded of their responsibilities as members of the local community.
The University is encouraging all students living in the local community to follow its ‘Be a Good Neighbour’ guidelines which remind students about their continued responsibilities as members of the community. A flyer is delivered to each household during September linking to the University’s digital Be a Good Neighbour Guide.
In addition to a Welcome to the Community video filmed with our community partners including the Runnymede Safer Neighbourhood Police team, Runnymede Borough Council Environmental Health and Royal Holloway Students’ Union we have developed new content on key topics for students. These short videos, featuring our Royal Holloway Students’ Union Sabbatical Officers, remind students of the importance of their role as part of the local community with tips on minimising household and transient noise, responsible management of refuse & recycling, appropriate car use and parking. See the videos here.
We’re keen that our students settle into their halls and homes safely and become good neighbours to you all.
