When selecting investments, we screen out investments that may have a significant negative impact for people and the planet, including munitions companies, tobacco companies, gambling companies, and companies involved in the exploration, production, refining, storage and/or transportation of fossil fuels.
Our investment manager has set a minimum hurdle for environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards, which must be met by a company before it can be considered for the portfolio.
We apply a “best of sector” strategy to select investments. Taking into consideration the full spectrum of environmental and social factors, we only invest in companies that can demonstrate consistent and effective ESG management, a clear decarbonisation strategy, and investment in clean technology.
Our full list of exclusions can be found in section 5 of our investment policy.
