Royal Holloway and TECHNE research students, Caroline Harris, Briony Hughes, and Gareth Hughes, from the School of Humanities, collaborated with the Royal Holloway Culture team to curate the exhibition "Words from the Wild: The Nature of PoetryRoyal.
The exhibition delves into how artists and writers utilise language to depict and document various environments and human interactions with diverse species, landscapes, and plants.
The works underscore the role that art and culture can play in representing biodiversity loss, climate change, and raising awareness of alternative approaches to caring for the natural world and addressing the real challenges we face in safeguarding the planet's future.
Several exhibits feature former students on the postgraduate Poetic Practice pathway of the MA in Creative Writing, showcasing their work alongside established artists and writers including Susan Johanknecht, Redell Olsen, J.R. Carpenter, and Katharine Meynell.
